Spotlight on music at 21st Annual Aitkin Christmas Tea

Warm your winter heart with songs by pianist George Maurer and vocalist Rachel Holder at this year’s Christmas Tea event at the Aitkin Public Library.

The duo will be performing live at the 21st Annual Aitkin Christmas Tea, beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. Presented by the Aitkin Public Library branch of the East Central Regional Library, in partnership with the Friends of the Aitkin Library, the event is free and open to the public. Space is limited. Pre-register at the Aitkin Public Library, 110 1st Ave. NE, or call the library at 218-927-2339.

Maurer and Holder are entertainers with a sensitivity and expressiveness far beyond their years, filling rooms from the Dakota Jazz Club to Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. They offer a warm, personable stage presence, with songs from Gershwin to Motown, Ellington to Eva Cassidy, the Great American Songbook to the Beatles and music of the holidays.

This project is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
