New Activity Badge for Reading Colors Your World: Summer Learning Program Participants!

🎉 We have exciting news! We recently received a last minute donation to be used as a giveaway for our Reading Colors Your World, Summer Learning Challenge participants – Minnesota State Fair tickets! 🎟
We’re so thankful to the Minnesota State Fair for supporting our Summer Learning Challenge by donating these free tickets, and while there aren’t enough tickets for everyone, we do have enough for a random drawing! To ensure only participants who are interested in attending this year’s Minnesota State Fair are entered into the random drawing, we’ve created a special badge in the Beanstack app.
All you have to do to show your interest is log into Beanstack, choose the “Reading Colors Your World: Summer Learning Challenge,” click “Badges” and then click on the “State Fair Ticket Drawing” badge under the activity badges tab and answer the question it asks you. The deadline to submit is August 14, which marks the end of the Summer Learning Challenge for this year, so be sure to log into your account as soon as possible. Please note, there is a limit of two winners per household, and anyone under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian consent to enter the drawing.

  1. How disappointing to be notified of this after the fact and to only have a few days to enter. Would it not be obvious people would want to be entered to win such a prize?

    1. Hi Katie, we’re sorry you’re disappointed in the notification of this random drawing. We received the donation very last minute and did our best to make our participants aware of it via our social media channels, on our blog, posters at our branches, and via an email to registered participants who had an email address on file with us. With people being more cautious about being in crowded areas right now, we decided it was best to make the random drawing opt-in so that State Fair tickets weren’t awarded to someone who wasn’t going to use them anyway. We apologize this resulted in disappointment for you and hope your experience with the Summer Learning Program was still a positive one overall.
