Branch Librarian II, Mora Library, 40 hours per week:
East Central Regional Library (ECRL) has an immediate vacancy for the position of Branch Librarian II to oversee the operation of a medium-large branch library in Mora, MN. This is a full time, 40 hours per week position. A Bachelor’s Degree, up to date technology skills and three years related experience is required. MLS/MLIS or similar library certification or advanced library training is preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated creativity and vision to provide modern public library service; ability and willingness to work independently; above average communication skills; excellent customer service skills; and the ability and willingness to lead a library team of staff and volunteers. Salary range is $16.15 – 22.09 per hour with paid health insurance, PTO and PERA. Review of applications begins January 19, 2018 and continues until filled.
Custodian, Cambridge Public Library
East Central Regional Library has an opening effective March 3, 2018 for the position of Custodian at the Cambridge Branch, up to 4 hours per week, weekends. Work hours are negotiable but preference would be either Friday evening or Saturday mornings. A High School Degree or GED is required. The Custodian is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the Cambridge Library and ECRL Headquarters, including building and grounds, lawn mowing and snow removal. $9.91/hr starting. Opportunity to sub during the week if desired.
Branch Library Assistant, potential multiple locations (see below): A High School Degree or GED is required, and Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. $12.06/hr starting. Applications are accepted for listed positions until they are filled.
Applicants should be available any hours branch is open, including evenings and weekends. Positions have minimal scheduled hours, plus additional irregular hours as needed. See branch open hours.
The Branch Library Assistant is responsible for the clerical operations of the automated library circulation system. The assistant is also responsible for the operation of a branch library, under the direction of the Branch Librarian. Ability to work courteously and effectively with other employees and the public; ability to read, comprehend and orally communicate English; ability to be tactful and adept in dealing with a wide variety of people; ability to interpret library policies, resources, and services to others. Candidate must have good technology skills.
