Programming Librarian– East Central Regional Library seeks a Programming Librarian to oversee programming for all ages at East Central Regional Library; marketing and promotion of regional library programs and to oversee grant writing and fund development activities.

Required:  Master’s Degree in Library Science including related coursework; 2 or more years relevant experience; Up to date technology skills; Valid MN Driver’s License, be eligible for one or have access to transportation.

Preferred:  Previous experience with grant writing and oversight; fund development experience.

Skills and abilities:  Commitment to providing modern public library service; above average communication skills; Demonstrated ability and willingness to work collaboratively with staff across the region; Ability to develop programs for a wide variety of ages; supervisory experience.

Compensation: $41,983.09 – $60,701.10 annually DOQ; PTO, Employer-paid health insurance, HSA, PERA.

Branch Librarian I, Hinckley:  East Central Regional Library seeks a Branch Librarian I to manage day to day operations of the Hinckley Public Library.  The ideal candidate has experience in providing excellent library service to all ages, above average technology skills and a passion for finding information and recommending engaging reading.

Required:  Bachelor’s Degree; 2 years job related experience; up to date technology skills.

Skills and abilities:  Commitment to providing modern public library service; above average communication skills;  excellent customer service skills; Demonstrated ability and willingness to work collaboratively with staff across the region; Ability to plan and organize workloads and schedules; Ability to speak in public.

Compensation:  $14.85 – $19.80 per hour.  32.5 hours per week; PTO, Employer-paid health insurance, HSA, PERA.

Branch Library Assistant, potential multiple locations (see below): A High School Degree or GED is required, and Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. $12.06/hr starting. Applications are accepted for listed positions until they are filled.

Applicants should be available any hours branch is open, including evenings and weekends. Positions have minimal scheduled hours, plus additional irregular hours as needed. See branch open hours.

The Branch Library Assistant is responsible for the clerical operations of the automated library circulation system.  The assistant is also responsible for the operation of a branch library, under the direction of the Branch Librarian.  Ability to work courteously and effectively with other employees and the public; ability to read, comprehend and orally communicate English; ability to be tactful and adept in dealing with a wide variety of people; ability to interpret library policies, resources, and services to others. Candidate must have good technology skills.

Custodian – Cambridge Public Library.  A High School Diploma or GED is required.  $9.91/hour starting.  3-10 hours per week, weekend hours.  Option to work additional hours during the week as substitute.

The Custodian is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the Cambridge Library, including Headquarters, building and grounds.  This requires the ability work courteously and effectively with other employees, and the ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English.  Requires the use of equipment including but not limited to: lawn mower, snow blower, and vacuum cleaner.
