Branch Librarian II, Cambridge, MN — $18.76/hr starting.  40 hrs/wk.  Benefits including health insurance (single coverage premium paid by employer), HSA, PTO, PERA.  A Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Completed master’s degree in library science preferred.

The Branch Librarian II is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Cambridge Public Library.  Ideal candidate has experience in providing excellent library customer service and programming to all ages, above average technology skills to help others with computer devices, and a passion for finding information and recommending engaging reading.

Branch Library Assistant, potential multiple locations (see below): A High School Degree or GED is required, and Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. $11.41/hr starting. Applications are accepted for listed positions until they are filled.

Applicants should be available any hours branch is open, including evenings and weekends. Positions have minimal scheduled hours, plus additional irregular hours as needed. See branch open hours.

The Branch Library Assistant is responsible for the clerical operations of the automated library circulation system.  The assistant is also responsible for the operation of a branch library, under the direction of the Branch Librarian.  Ability to work courteously and effectively with other employees and the public; ability to read, comprehend and orally communicate English; ability to be tactful and adept in dealing with a wide variety of people; ability to interpret library policies, resources, and services to others. Candidate must have good technology skills.

Locations available:

Custodian, Cambridge, MN — $10.14/hr starting (effective July 8, 2019).  3-5 hrs/wk.  Weekends.  A High School Degree or GED is required.

NOTE:  Applicant must be available for weekend work.

The Custodian is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the Cambridge Library, including Headquarters, building and grounds.  Custodial work includes vacuuming public areas, cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities, grounds maintenance, including mowing and shoveling/snow blowing as needed.  See job description for full details.
