  • Visitors must wear visitor badge, personal protective equipment and screening stickers at all times in the facility.
  • Visitors must use hand hygiene frequently while in the facility.

  • Inpatients:
    • Visitors will only be allowed for admitted patients in the following situations. Any variations to this list of exceptions must be approved by the house supervisor
  • Pediatric patients – One parent/guardian will be allowed in the room per patient. The parent/guardian may stay overnight in accordance with usual policy.
  • Labor and Delivery patients – One designated visitor allowed per maternal patient per stay.
  • A doula visiting a patient would be the one visitor for that patient.
  • Newborns are not allowed outside visitors, unless due to compassionate exception.
  • Newborns – Partners/primary caretaker will be permitted to visit.
  • Compassionate care patients – This includes end of life patients, critically unstable patients and patients who are undergoing surgery.

  • The visitor must be a personal care attendant for patients who require assistance during their appointment AND cannot have flu-like symptoms, including a cough, fever or respiratory concern ust be over age 18 (no child visitors allowed).
  • Discharge planning needs
  • Allina Health recognizes that a caregiver may need to be present to assist with discharge preparation.Appropriate and safe discharge planning is critical to maintain the safety of patients, therefore, the no visitor policy is not intended to slow the discharge process.
  • One individual per patient is allowed on the unit to assist with discharge preparation.
  • The patient care manager or designee will be allowed to make determinations regarding when and which caregiver will be present for this purpose.
  • Generally, discharge preparation does not need to occur earlier than the day of discharge.

If you are eligible for bus transportation (all PreK-6 students, 7-12 students living outside city limits – with the exception of the development south of Cty Rd 4 (Shady Ridge, Marshview, Pondview or Hilltop), your packets will be delivered on the first scheduled day of school for the week to your typical bus stop location.  The bus will continue to follow the normal route schedule so you only need to contact the bus garage if you need clarification or information related to when and where you must be available.  You can contact Braham Bus at 320-396-2962 and ask for Dawn Olson.  Please understand these deliveries MAY slow bus routes so please show up on time and be prepared to wait a few minutes.

The collection of these packets will mirror the delivery process.  If you get your packets delivered to you on the first scheduled day of school for the week by bus, we will be collecting the packets at that very same time and location.  If you come into the school to pick up your packets, you should bring your completed packets to the school at that time.
