East Central Regional Library is opening the spring season with a fresh batch of Legacy events, from an award-winning Teddy Roosevelt impersonator to Yvonne Cory’s fascinating Down through the Decades presentation about 200 years of history, culture and apron art.

Travel back in time with Minnesotan Adam Lindquist whose award-winning impersonation of President Theodore Roosevelt entertains, educates and inspires audiences of all ages. In addition to his work in conservation initiatives and leadership programs for the corporate world, Lindquist especially enjoys working with school children. Each year he educates more than 20,000 students on Theodore Roosevelt and topics such as the importance of building character and developing determination.
This performance is recommended for all ages, and no registration is necessary.
Down Through the Decades: A History of Aprons
Saturday, April 6
10 am, Milaca City Hall Council Room
Yvonne Cory presents 200 years of history, culture and apron art including 85 full and half aprons. Since childhood, watching her mother sew cotton aprons, these garments have held a deep meaning. They remind Yvonne how important a human hand was in the creation of the frills and yet served a purpose of collecting spills. Family aprons from past generations, plain and fancy, have a place in the collection, and she enjoys sharing their stories.
All ages welcome. No registration necessary.
