East Central Regional Library App Now Available!

East Central Regional Library is excited to announce our new app! Use this app to browse the catalog and place holds on both physical and digital items, manage your account, and access a digital version of your library card for utilizing at the self-checkout stations in the library!

Please note, this app does not replace the Libby app. It does allow you to browse and place holds on both physical and digital items at the same time, however. If you place a hold on a digital item, it will be sent to your Libby app for you to read/listen to.

Download the FREE East Central Regional Library app from the Apple Store or the Play Store today!

Once you’ve downloaded the app, the first time you open it you’ll be asked to select your home library branch.

After selecting your home library branch, you’ll be able to log in with your library card number or username (if you’ve created one), and your pin/password.

If you need to reset your pin/password, click here. You’ll be asked to enter your library barcode number OR your username. Then, a password reset link will be sent to the email address associated with your library account.

Once you’re logged in, you’ll be brought to the “Discover” tab (home screen) of the app.

Here you’ll be able to search for specific items using the Search Bar, or you can browse through the many popular categories we’ve curated.

These are the same popular categories you’d see in the online catalog on our website.

If you continue to scroll through the popular categories on the Discover tab, at the bottom you’ll find an option to “Manage Categories.

Click this to customize what categories of items you’ll see on your Discover tab (home screen).

Simply tap a category to remove it from your Discover tab. These changes automatically save, and can be revised at any time, giving you full control over what you see while browsing the Discover tab!

To place a hold in the app, click into the item you’re interested in.

Next, you’ll choose which format you’d like the item to be in. You can place holds on both physical and digital items with the app!

Finally, click the blue “Place Hold” button.

You’ll verify your notification preferences on the next screen, and then the hold will show up under “Titles on Hold” in your account.

Click the Account tab to quickly view your account information. Here you’ll see the following things:

  • Checked out items
  • Items on hold
  • Any holds ready for pickup
  • Your lists
  • Saved searches
  • Reading history
  • Fines (though you cannot pay them through the app at this time)
  • Your profile
  • Any linked account you may have

While exploring the Account tab, click “Checked Out Titles” to view all of your items currently checked out.

This screen will give you the details on your checked out items, including the due date and how many renewals you have left.

To renew an item, click that specific item in the list. A white pop-up will appear at the bottom of the screen with the option to “View Item Details” or “Renew.” If you do not have any renewals remaining, it will instead say “This item is not eligible for renewal.”

Click on the “…More” tab to view your home library’s hours and contact information.

You’re also able to edit your personal preferences and view the privacy policy here.
