Join authors Sarah Stonich (pictured above) and Sally Franson for a discussion about the quiet activism of literature in an era of loud headlines at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Chisago Lakes Area Library.
Novel Activism encourages attendees to engage in this conversation about books, stories, poetry—any writing that has in some way shaped or impacted an outlook on any issue, political or personal. Sarah Stonich (Vacationland, Laurentian Divide) and Sally Franson (The Lady’s Guide to Selling Out) are celebrated authors in Minnesota.
Everyone in the counties of Aitkin, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine are encouraged to read the 2nd Annual ECRL Reads title, The Fate of Mercy Alban, a spine-tingling, modern-day haunted house story set on Lake Superior by award-winning Minnesota novelist Wendy Webb.
Check out a variety of ECRL Reads events including author visits and book discussions now through November 30th at East Central Regional Library locations on our Events Calendar.
ECRL Reads is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
