Mora Public Library hosts Arn Kind’s American Revolution program Sept. 15

East Central Regional Library is pleased to present Birth of Our Nation: The American Revolution, a presentation by Arn Kind, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Mora Public Library.
Kind, a teacher of 40 years, will appear in period attire, portraying the people who participated in the events that gave birth to our nation. His use of drama, role-playing, living history experiences and displays give audiences an understanding of this turbulent time and make history come alive.
Plus, volunteers from the audience will have the opportunity of taking on the role of soldiers in the Continental Army and learn some of the rudiments of Von Steuben’s Drill Manual while handling wooden replicas of Revolutionary War muskets.
Kind also is bringing his presentation to the Aitkin Public Library on Tuesday, Sept. 25, beginning at 6 p.m.
This project was funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
