Advanced holds are used when a user wants to receive the first available copy of a title, regardless of format. It allows you to place a hold and select the formats you are willing to receive.

How to place an advanced hold:

Log in and search for the title and click on place hold

Click on advanced hold options

Choose the formats you would be willing to receive, and click submit.

If no formats are selected, any available physical format will be used.
