Solar Eclipse

On Monday, August 21, 2017, all of North America will be treated to an eclipse of the sun. In Minnesota, we will be able to observe a partial solar eclipse where the moon covers part of the sun’s disk.
ECRL branches have a limited supply of solar eclipse glasses.  They are first come, first served. We will post updates here as supplies are depleted.

The Chisago Lakes Area Library will be having a Solar Eclipse Viewing Party from 11-1.  Come join us!

All of our branches are out of eclipse glasses.

Don’t have glasses?  You can watch safely via NASA’s live stream or print your own Pinhole Projector.  Other activities and many more resources are available on the NASA Eclipse 2017 website.
