East Central Regional Library joins our communities, our state and our country in honoring George Floyd’s life and grieving his death. While our doors remain closed to the public, behind the scenes and screens our staff is committed to:
- creating a culture of inclusion and equality
- firmly opposing racism
- providing a collection of materials that reflects diversity and will help us all understand the current situation, how we arrived at this point and how together we can bring lasting change
- eliminating barriers to equitable library access
- building a better path forward
While our region is in greater Minnesota, it does not mean that we do not see you; we see you. It does not mean that we do not hear you; we are listening. It does not mean that we don’t care, we care deeply and want to support you.
Affirmed by the East Central Regional Library Board of Trustees on Monday, June 8 2020.
