Storytime To Go Kits

in Aitkin, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine Counties
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, daycare provider, or anyone who works with children, the Storytime to Go Kits provide you with all the necessary materials needed to spend some quality reading time with a child. Storytime to Go kits make it easy for you to foster the love of reading in a child.
The kits were created for use with children ages 2 to 5 to promote early literacy development.
Each themed kit contains:
- five picture books
- a children’s music CD
- a manipulative (educational game, a puppet, puzzle, felt set, etc.)
- an Early Child Ready to Read activity sheet.
The activity sheet provides examples of how to incorporate each of the five early literacy skills – read, write, sing, talk, and play – with the contents of the kit.
East Central Regional Library currently has 45 Storytime to Go Kits
These kits are available for checkout by any registered ECRL library card holder in good standing. Storytime to Go Kits can be searched for and requested via the East Central Regional Library catalog.
Contents of each kit are listed in the catalog. Kits must be returned to any branch during open hours, as they do not fit in book returns.
