Completing an inventory of the East Central Regional Library collection helps keep the collection organized, current, and complete. This helps you, our library patrons, by making sure that books are where they should be when you look for them, that the information and titles we have on the shelf are up to date and accurate, and that we have a wide variety of titles that encompass all areas of interest.
Other East Central Regional Library locations will be open their regular hours during the inventory process; feel free to check out a neighboring library! In addition, digital library services are available 24/7/365!
Please make your plans accordingly. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience as we work to improve your library experience.

The Raptor Center schedule is listed below and also can be found on the Events Calendar.
Susan Monroe, who for the past 19 years has served as the Branch Librarian of the North Branch Area Library, has announced her retirement. The public is invited to congratulate Sue during a reception from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, her last day on the job, at the library. The North Branch community and East Central Regional Library will greatly miss her experience and dedication.
East Central Regional Library encourages kids and families to join Siama and his wife, Dallas, for songs and stories that bring Siama’s Congolese culture to life during performances at Chisago Lakes, Aitkin, Pine City, Wyoming, Cambridge and North Branch libraries.
The program, Siama’s Congo Roots: Feel-good music from the Heart of Africa, engages both kids and adults to sing along to catchy songs in Kikongo, Lingala and Swahili and play fun hand percussion instruments. Along with learning about Siama’s rural childhood in DR Congo, hear Siama play guitar and mbira with Dallas singing harmony.
Mark your calendars for this one-of-a-kind program, funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund:
