Experience the sweet sounds of Celtic music with “Musical Stringman” Paul Imholte during a special ECRL Reads performance at the Mille Lacs Lake Community Library in downtown Isle.
The performance will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25. Imholte performs Irish and Scottish reels and jigs on the fiddle and hammered dulcimer, sings traditional ballads and leads sing-alongs with his guitar and banjo. He uses original songs to echo the experience of Irish emigrants to America. Along with his solo work, Imholte is a founding member of the Celtic/American band Ring of Kerry.
Paul Imholte is called the “Musical Stringman” for the many string instruments he brings to every performance.
East Central Regional Library presents Imholte and his holiday show at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the McGregor Public Library. Experience his talent with instruments like the hammered dulcimer, auto harp, guitar, violin, harmonica, jaw harp and more. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the McGregor Library.
The McGregor Public Library, located at Center Avenue and 2nd Street, can be reached at 218-768-3305. For more information, go to the ECRL Events Calendar.
