Teens are invited to learn about henna tattoos and may even create a design on themselves during a special event at the Milaca Community Library.
East Central Regional Library presents a henna tattoo workshop on Tuesday, June 26, starting at 1 p.m. Participants ages 12-17 will learn how to make henna paste and draw both traditional and modern designs. Participants also may create a henna tattoo on themselves, as long as they have permission from a parent or guardian. Permission forms will be available at the library ahead of time and at the workshop. Henna tattoos are 100 percent natural and last approximately two weeks to a month.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required for this workshop. Sign up on the Events Calendar. This project is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Teens can create handmade decorations using old, forgotten books at a special program beginning at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18 at the North Branch Area Library. During this book ornament workshop, participants (ages 12-17) will learn different paper folding techniques, creating ornaments and 3D art.
