Skateboard Art Workshop for Teens!

Teens ages 13-18! Do rad things! Participate in a two-hour skateboard art experience with artist Mark Rivard.

Hear Mark’s inspirational story of becoming a professional artist and learn his artistic techniques. Create an original work of art on an actual skateboard deck using Sharpie markers. At the end of workshop, take home your customized board deck and Sharpies.*

Henna tattoo workshop for teens at Milaca Community Library

Teens are invited to learn about henna tattoos and may even create a design on themselves during a special event at the Milaca Community Library.

East Central Regional Library presents a henna tattoo workshop on Tuesday, June 26, starting at 1 p.m. Participants ages 12-17 will learn how to make henna paste and draw both traditional and modern designs. Participants also may create a henna tattoo on themselves, as long as they have permission from a parent or guardian. Permission forms will be available at the library ahead of time and at the workshop. Henna tattoos are 100 percent natural and last approximately two weeks to a month.

Turn forgotten books into handmade decorations

Teens can create handmade decorations using old, forgotten books at a special program beginning at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18 at the North Branch Area Library. During this book ornament workshop, participants (ages 12-17) will learn different paper folding techniques, creating ornaments and 3D art.

Comedy juggling duo kicks off summer reading program

East Central Regional Library is kicking off its 2018 Summer Reading Program – Reading Takes You Everywhere — with performances by In Capable Hands. Made up of Steve Russell and Kobi Shaw, this family-friendly act will tickle the funny bone of any age, any audience, and it’s free and open to the public.

Due to fire code limitations, FREE tickets for all locations will be available for pick up at your local East Central Regional Library branch starting Tuesday, May 29. Limited seating is available at all venues.
