Bring ‘Clay Creatures’ to Life at Hinckley Public Library

East Central Regional Library presents Clay Creatures, a two-hour workshop for kids ages 8 and up, starting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17 at the Hinckley Public Library. Visiting artist Angee Emerson will help participants sculpt their very own clay friend out of bright, colorful polymer clay. Everyone will get to leave with their finished masterpiece and some basic sculpting techniques for future projects on their own. All supplies provided.

Space still available for skateboard art workshops for teens

Teens who would like to customize a skateboard with their own design can get stoked about upcoming skateboard art workshops presented by East Central Regional Library.

Mark Rivard will lead the workshops where participants will hear his inspirational story of becoming a professional artist, learn his artistic techniques and create an original work of art on an actual skateboard deck using Sharpie markers. At the end of workshop, participants can take their customized board deck and Sharpies home. (Wheels and hardware not included.)
